The project
As part of our R&D&I strategy, this year Taidy Innovación S.L. joins panesCLM, the agri-food data space of Castilla-La Mancha, as an advanced provider, under the Kit Espacios de Datos (Data Spaces Kit) programme, managed by Red.es and promoted by Spain's Ministry for Digital Transformation and Civil Service.
Our contribution is an open, free data product for panesCLM participants, focused on enriching decision-making based on the data each participant chooses to contribute to its environment within the ecosystem. This way, wineries and cooperatives can activate and support their commercial, production and business decisions with more context and more confidence.
The connection has been made with a connector based on Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC), aligned with IDSA and Gaia-X standards, so that every participant keeps control over their data.
Why we do it
The agri-food sector is one of Castilla-La Mancha's great assets, and much of its production is managed by cooperatives that make critical, strategic decisions every season. Beyond their own data, there is a great deal of latent information in the ecosystem's data which, properly connected, lets them activate and support those decisions with greater confidence. It is not a data problem, but one of connection and interconnection between the sector's stakeholders, which ultimately represents a great opportunity.
We believe data spaces are one of the levers capable of moving the economy of our ecosystems, especially rural ones, with the focus on socio-economic impact. Programmes such as Kit Espacios de Datos have provided meaningful support to everyone who wants to move in that direction.
We thank the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha (Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha) for its commitment to data in the agri-food sector, and the Data Economy Reference Centre (CRED) for the training, events and support, especially over the last few years.
